چکیده
The application of electric arc furnace ladle slag (EAF slag) in cement products might be limited due to the volume expansion and instability created by late hydration. Proper control technique should developed before reuse (LS). With addition aluminum powder alkali-activated pastes, porous materials were produced. By adjusting activator modulus between 1.25 2.00, fine pores produced foamed material densities controlled 594 1184 kg/m3. compressive strengths increased from 0.95 9.04 MPa with increase density. Direct firing tests showed that could resist fire damage. low thermal conductivities range 0.532 1.435 W/m·K, temperatures back panel below 100 °C, even under flames 800 °C for 1 h, which better than marketing rock wool. was proven applicable manufacturing fire-resistant this research.

The Phase Composition of Electric Furnace Slag
Elementary and phase composition as well as micrography of the electric furnace slag were examined. The base of slag is made from phases containing Fe, Mn and Ca. Grains differ in size and shape, they cling together to form bigger or smaller agglomerates, depending on separated fractions. Relative distribution of identified phases in separated fractions is presented and the possibility of phase...
متن کاملElectric Arc Furnace Slag and Blast Furnace Dust, Use for the Manufacture of Asphalt Concrete for Roads
This paper analyzes how feasible it is to use electric arc furnace slag as coarse aggregate, and blast furnace dust as fine aggregate in the manufacture of hot asphalt concrete for roads. Three mixtures were designed using the Ramcodes methodology, the M1 mixture of control with conventional materials, the M2 mixture replacing 50% and the M3 mixture replacing 100% of the conventional aggregates...
متن کاملFatigue Behavior Analysis of Asphalt Mixes Containing Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) Steel Slag
This research was conducted in order to evaluate fatigue behavior of asphalt mixes containing Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel slag. After initial evaluation of the properties of EAF steel slag using X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electric Microscope (SEM), six sets of laboratory mixtures were prepared. Each set were treated replacing various portions of limestone aggregates of the mix wi...
متن کاملInfluence of Mechanically Activated Electric Arc Furnace Slag on Compressive Strength of Mortars Incorporating Curing Moisture and Temperature Effects
In this study, the influence of mechanically activated electric arc furnace slag (EAFS) was investigated through compressive strength tests on 50 mm mortar cubes. The objective was to convert the wasteful EAFS into a useful binding material to reduce the cement content in concrete without compromising strength and economy. Four different groups of mortar were cast which include control mortar, ...
متن کاملSelf-Sensing Properties of Alkali Activated Blast Furnace Slag (BFS) Composites Reinforced with Carbon Fibers
In recent years, several researchers have shown the good performance of alkali activated slag cement and concretes. Besides their good mechanical properties and durability, this type of cement is a good alternative to Portland cements if sustainability is considered. Moreover, multifunctional cement composites have been developed in the last decades for their functional applications (self-sensi...
